2011 Marks 50th Anniversary of the Combined Federal Campaign!
Since its inception in 1961, the Combined Federal Campaign has served the philanthropic needs of Federal employees in the workplace. The CFC has been a powerful source of funding for charitable organizations locally, nationally and globally, and continues to be the most efficient way for Federal employees to raise maximum dollars at a minimal cost. The Greater Hartford Combined Federal Campaign is proud to celebrate this milestone by thanking local Federal employees for their kindness and generosity.
Last year, the Greater Hartford CFC showed how much they care by raising more than $348,000 for those in need. The campaign made great strides, increasing its overall participation to 29 percent and expanding giving at the leadership level.
This year, we hope to generate at least $350,000 in contributions, and reach a participation rate of 30 percent. Please continue your support as we celebrate this historic year and make a difference in our community and around the world.
How Your Dollars Were Spent in 2011
Thanks to Federal Employees in the Greater Hartford area, the CFC raised $348,121 in 2010! Those dollars were designated to following federations locally, nationally and across the globe.

Mission Statement
In 1961, President John F. Kennedy established one annual fundraising campaign for Federal employees. The mission of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
As the world's largest and most successful annual workplace giving campaign, each year, more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally help to raise millions of dollars. Each fall, pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. The Director of the Office of Personnel Management has designated to the Office of CFC Operations (OCFCO) responsibility for day to day management of the CFC.
