Welcome to the official website of the Greater Hartford Combined Federal Campaign or CFC! The Greater Hartford CFC was established in 1968 and includes more than 6,000 Federal employees – postal, civilian and military – stationed in Hartford, Tolland and Windham Counties in northeastern Connecticut.

We are excited to serve the Federal workforce in the Capital Area, and thank you for your support in 2008. Last year Federal employees contributed $318,000 to the CFC. Recognizing the difficulties we are all facing, we are thankful for your generosity and commitment to helping those in need.
We know that your gifts come from the heart. Please rest assured that your giving helps improve the lives of countless individuals locally, nationally and internationally. You should all be proud. Our 2008 theme was “Be a Star in Someone’s Life.” Please know that you are all shining stars!

In December, Local Federal Coordinating Committee Chair Kenneth Roach, retired from the Federal Aviation Administration. Ken served as LFCC chair for nearly five years and was instrumental in launching the donor incentives and awards program and this website. We wish Ken and his family all the best!

Ron brings several years of LFCC experience, having served as chair in Vermont and Springfield, Massachusetts. Under Ron’s leadership and direction, we look forward to renewed success.

In 1961, President John F. Kennedy established one annual fundraising campaign for Federal employees. The mission of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
As the world's largest and most successful annual workplace giving campaign, each year, more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally help to raise millions of dollars. Each fall, pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. The Director of the Office of Personnel Management has designated to the Office of CFC Operations (OCFCO) responsibility for day to day management of the CFC.
